Healthy, Protein-Rich & Crispy Moong Dal Cheela

Ingredients
- 1 cup AgroPure Yellow Moong Dal (or Split Moong Dal)
- 1-inch Ginger
- 2 Green Chillies
- ¼ tsp Turmeric Powder
- ½ tsp Cumin Seeds
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp Finely Chopped Onion
- 2 tbsp Finely Chopped Tomato
- 2 tbsp Grated Carrot (optional)
- 2 tbsp Finely Chopped Coriander Leaves
- A pinch of Asafoetida (Hing)
- Oil or Ghee for cooking

Preparation
Step 1: Wash the moong dal thoroughly and soak it for 3–4 hours. Drain the water and blend the dal with ginger and green chillies into a smooth batter using very little water.
Step 2: Transfer the batter to a bowl and add turmeric, cumin seeds, hing, salt, chopped onions, tomatoes, grated carrot and fresh coriander. Mix everything well.
Step 3: Heat a non-stick or cast-iron tawa and lightly grease it with oil or ghee.
Step 4: Pour a ladleful of batter onto the hot tawa and spread it gently into a thin circular cheela.
Step 5: Drizzle a little oil around the edges and cook on medium heat until the bottom turns golden brown. Flip and cook the other side until crisp.
Step 6: Serve hot with mint chutney, coriander chutney, tomato ketchup or fresh curd for a nutritious and satisfying meal.
